The Online Nuclear Industry Construction Students Teams Commander School completed its work in 2020
The VI Nuclear Industry Construction Students Teams Commander School was set up and conducted from July 10 to 17, 2020.
One of the peculiarities of the event was that it was for the first time held in an online format. In addition, mentors of construction students teams were involved in the event activities.
On the first day of the School, Tatyana Terentyeva, HR Director, ROSATOM, and Mikhail Kiselev, Head of the Russian Student Teams Organization greeted the participants.
«I want to thank all the students who have joined this summer semester for their courage. During pandemic, your safety is of great importance for ROSATOM. Now the main thing is to follow all necessary recommendations to protect students' health. I am sure that this semester each student will gain a lot of experience for his or her future work, and most importantly, will be healthy» – Tatiana Terentyeva stressed.
Mikhail Kiselev drew his attention to students’ responsible attitude to their health. He noted that every student should immediately report any change in his or her health at the construction site.
Within the framework of the School's activities, students took part in an online discussion on Behavioural Based Safety and had online meetings with HR representatives of host organizations.
On the final day of the training, students had a chance to receive answers to questions about leadership and mentoring from Yulia Uzhakina, Director General of ANO Rosatom Corporate Academy. She shared her experience and explained how to establish a productive dialogue between students and mentors in order to conduct its work in the most efficient manner possible.
In addition, participants of the School were introduced to the values, history, goals and mission of ROSATOM in a new format of online quest.
This year students as part of student construction teams will take part in the construction of Belarus NPP, Mayak FSUE, Kaliningrad Logistics Centre, Rosatom Pavilion at VDNH, Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Centre of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology and Kursk NPP-2.
